PROJECT: SELF PORTRAIT

Describe your favorite animal. Describe your favorite color. A brief theory in psychology. . . Your description of your favorite animal is how you indirectly see yourself. Your description of your favorite color is how other people indirectly see you. You might be more beautiful than you thought you were, or maybe you did not know you had an ugly side. And you may be more loved than you imagined.

ARTIST STATEMENT

“I am Siannii Mejia (Me-hi-a). I am an artist, a drummer, sinfer, runner, Christian, writer, and play-dough sculpture. My self portrait tells you guys that I’m artistic, bold, and mostly easy-going. This is to challenge myself into painting 3-dimensional paintings so people realize what is going on in the painting. The moment I thought about the painting, I knew it was art and it inspired me to paint more.”
